What happens if I miss a check-in?
Nothing is released. A missed check-in only opens a verification request once your chosen window closes. Your guardians still have to reach consensus, and a single check-in from you stops the whole sequence.
Can Reep staff read my vault?
No. Content is encrypted in your browser with a key derived from your passphrase, which we never receive. Our servers hold ciphertext, so there is nothing for staff to read and nothing useful to hand over if we are compelled to.
What if I forget my passphrase?
Recovery runs through your guardians rather than through us. During setup you can enable guardian-assisted recovery, which requires the same consensus a release does. Without it, a lost passphrase means a lost vault.
What happens if Reep shuts down?
Your vault is exportable at any time in an open, encrypted archive format. Eternal accounts are additionally covered by a prepaid maintenance reserve so hosting continues past any change in the company.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, in either direction. Downgrading only limits new features, so items already stored stay stored. Eternal can be added on top of a subscription whenever you want.
Is my country supported?
Vaults work anywhere. Official record checks currently cover jurisdictions where a digital death registry or verifiable certificate is available. Elsewhere, guardian consensus plus a certificate reviewed by our compliance partner takes its place.
